Impact of conflict in Ukraine

At Fabory, we are shocked and appalled by the war in Ukraine and our hearts go out to all who have been affected or who have concerns for family and friends in the region. We feel the concerns of our team members in surrounding European countries while it is at this point hard to assess its evolution and impact.

The European Union has issued restrictive measures against the Russian Federation until the aggression against Ukraine is brought to an end and it ceases conducting disinformation and information manipulation actions. As Fabory has no suppliers in Russia, Belarus nor Ukraine, the direct impact of the conflict to product availability is minimal to zero. Our sourcing in surrounding countries totals a very limited part of our procurement volume and can be, because of its generic nature, easily redirected.

We do anticipate indirect impact which may affect cost levels of for instance transportation, energy costs etc. At this point the world is dealing with increased levels of unpredictability and uncertainty, while dealing with a pandemic.

We are closely monitoring the situation and will keep our relations informed of implications as we hope for the best for all who are involved in this conflict against their will.
