Smart replenishment with RFID at ADB SAFEGATE in China
Fabory has successfully implemented an RFID inventory solution at ADB SAFEGATE's manufacturing facility in Tianjin, China, upgrading the existing two-bin system to a smarter, automated replenishment process.
ADB SAFEGATE (Tianjin) Airfield Technologies Ltd. is part of the Belgium-based ADB SAFEGATE Group and one of its three global manufacturing hubs. Fabory has supported the Tianjin facility with a two-bin Customer Managed Inventory solution since 2017.
From two-bin to RFID
The upgraded solution uses RFID technology to automatically identify bins requiring replenishment, helping reduce manual intervention and human error while improving restocking accuracy.
A total of 195 bins are included in the new RFID setup. Despite the Tianjin facility being more than 1,000 km from Fabory Shanghai, close cooperation has enabled a reliable inventory management process.
The RFID system has been operating reliably since its installation, with ADB SAFEGATE satisfied with the results.
