This bulk pack of hex nuts is made from plain steel and manufactured to DIN 934 standards. Plain steel is steel without any coating or surface treatment—it's a strong material, but on its own, it offers little resistance to corrosion. These nuts feature metric threading and are rated at strength class 8. Please note: Class |8| nuts are rated according to DIN 267-4 and have a lower load capacity than class 8 nuts rated to ISO 898-2. Under mechanical overload, the threads on the nut or bolt may strip.
