Vald Hendriksen

Vald. Henriksen manufactures Jigger textile processing machines used for dyeing and washing woven fabrics. For stainless steel bolting applications, the company switched to Lubrinox fasteners from Fabory to remove the need for manually applied anti-seize grease during assembly.

The change eliminates a manual lubrication step, creates a cleaner assembly process and helps make stainless steel fasteners easier to disassemble during maintenance.

Results at a glance

No manual greasing

Lubrinox removes the need to apply anti-seize grease manually during assembly.

Cleaner assembly

Removing loose anti-seize grease helps create a cleaner production environment.

Easier maintenance

Lubrinox helps reduce the risk of galling and supports easier disassembly of stainless steel fasteners.

Stainless steel fastening in textile machinery

Vald. Henriksen was established in Hengelo, the Netherlands, in 1945 and manufactures Jigger machines for processing woven textiles.

The company developed a new generation of Jiggers in the 1990s, including atmospheric and high-temperature models. Vald. Henriksen first approached Fabory for fasteners in 1991.

Stainless steel bolted connections are used within the machines, creating a requirement for reliable fastening during assembly and for fasteners that can be disassembled when maintenance is required.

Removing manual anti-seize greasing

Before using Lubrinox, stainless steel bolts required anti-seize grease to be applied manually during assembly.

Lubrinox incorporates lubrication into the fastener coating, removing the need for this separate manual step.

For Vald. Henriksen, this saves assembly time because employees no longer need to grease individual bolts before installation.

A cleaner assembly process

Removing manually applied grease also makes the production process cleaner.

Anti-seize grease can leave sticky residue on components, tools and work areas. Using Lubrinox allows the stainless steel bolted connections to be assembled without applying this loose lubricant separately.

This supports a cleaner working environment while simplifying the fastening process.

Helping reduce galling in stainless steel connections

Stainless steel fasteners can be susceptible to galling or seizing when mating threaded surfaces experience high friction during assembly.

The lubricating properties of Lubrinox help reduce friction between the stainless steel mating surfaces and therefore help reduce the risk of galling.

This is also useful when machines require maintenance, because reducing the risk of seized fasteners can make bolted connections easier to disassemble.

“We save time during assembly because we no longer have to grease the bolts. It also creates a much cleaner working environment.”

The result: cleaner and simpler stainless steel assembly

By switching to Lubrinox, Vald. Henriksen removed the need to manually apply anti-seize grease to stainless steel fasteners during assembly.

This eliminates a separate production step, saves assembly time and helps keep the working environment cleaner.

The lubricating coating also helps reduce the risk of galling and supports easier disassembly when maintenance is required.
