Bosch: Knowledge exchange sparks smarter tooling
Choosing the right accessory for a hand tool may seem simple. In practice, it often goes wrong. Research shows that around 70% of end users don’t use the optimal accessory. The result? Lower efficiency, faster wear, and unnecessary costs. At Fabory, we naturally want to prevent this. That’s why Fabory employees took part in a knowledge session on hand tools at the Bosch headquarters in Breda (the Netherlands).
Bosch experts introduced Fabory colleagues to the updated Bosch accessory range: Bosch (Good), Bosch Pro (Better), and Bosch Expert (Best). With clearer packaging and more sustainable materials (more cardboard, less plastic), users can now select the right accessory more easily while reducing environmental impact.
Testing tools and experiencing X-LOCK
In the afternoon, innovation moved from theory to practice in the demo room. A carbide metal saw blade on a compact cordless circular saw sliced cleanly through an H-beam, demonstrating precision and power. Fabory employees, fully equipped with PPE, then tested the latest grinding discs, jigsaw blades, and sanding discs themselves. The X-LOCK quick-change system for angle grinders was a highlight: with a single click, accessories can be swapped safely and quickly. An X-LOCK disc stops in just 0.62 seconds, compared to 1.5 seconds with a standard mount – a clear boost in both productivity and safety.
This exchange of knowledge means Fabory’s team is now better equipped to advise customers, ensuring they choose the right tools and accessories for the job. It’s a strong example of how collaboration with partners like Bosch drives innovation, efficiency, and smarter working in practice.
