Smart inventory management at Life & Mobility with 2-bin shelving and RFID dropbox

At Life & Mobility in Doetinchem, everything revolves around efficiency, clarity, and reliability. The company develops innovative wheelchairs and mobility scooters and recently chose a smart solution from Fabory to support its production process: eleven 2-bin shelving units combined with an RFID dropbox.

The shop floor now features more than twelve meters of 2-bin shelving. Combined with an RFID-enabled dropbox for automatic replenishment, production continues without interruption, without the need for manual ordering.

The 2-bin shelving ensures that a second bin is always available. As soon as the first bin is empty, an operator places it in the RFID dropbox. The system automatically registers consumption and immediately triggers replenishment, while production continues seamlessly using the second bin.

Attention was also paid to appearance: the shelving units are branded with the Life & Mobility logo. This means they are not only functional but also contribute to a professional work environment. The installation was carried out by a team of Fabory merchandisers, in collaboration with Solution Engineer Raymond van Dongen. Thanks to the smooth cooperation with the shop floor team, disruption was kept to a minimum and production continued without interruption.
