This tall, self-locking hex nut is manufactured to DIN 982 and ISO 7040 standards and features a non-metallic (nylon) insert. The built-in locking element helps prevent the nut from loosening under vibration or mechanical stress. Made from A2 stainless steel, it comes with a metric thread. Please note: self-locking stainless steel nuts are prone to galling on the threads, which can increase the risk of the fastener breaking. We recommend treating this type of nut with a friction reducer or applying an anti-seize compound before installation.
