This hex nut features metric fine thread with a left-hand (LH) thread direction and comes in plain steel with no coating or surface treatment. Manufactured to DIN 934 standards, it's primarily used on clockwise-rotating components to prevent loosening. While plain steel offers excellent strength, it provides little inherent protection against corrosion. Please note: Class |8| nuts are rated per DIN 267-4 and have a lower load capacity than Class 8 nuts rated per ISO 898-2. Mechanical overloading can strip the threads on either the nut or the bolt.
