Prevailing torque type hexagon nut with non-metallic insert DIN 985 Steel ZincFlake |8|

This self-locking hex nut with a nylon insert is manufactured to DIN 985 and ISO 10511 standards. The non-metallic locking element helps prevent the nut from loosening due to vibration or mechanical stress. Made from steel, the nut features a Zinc Flake coating—a zinc and aluminum blend that delivers superior corrosion resistance compared to a pure zinc layer of the same thickness. The nut has a metric thread. Please note: Class |8| nuts are rated according to DIN 267-4 and have a lower load capacity than Class 8 nuts per ISO 898-2. Mechanical overloading can strip the threads on either the nut or the bolt.
