This heavy hex nut is manufactured to ASME B18.2.2 standards with UNC/8UN threading. Made from ASTM A194 Grade 3 steel, it comes in a plain finish with no coating or surface treatment. While plain steel offers excellent strength, it provides virtually no corrosion resistance on its own.
